One of our very favorite large parks is Willis Tucker Park
in Snohomish! This park has tons to offer. A big sandbox (bring your own toys),
a nice sized playground suitable for toddlers and elementary aged kids, trails,
a basketball court, ball diamonds (that my kids love to play and run around
when they are not being used, which may or may not be against the rules, I’m
not sure, oh and the metal benches make a very fun sound when they are jumped
on!), an off leash dog area (which means that my kids get to see LOTS of dogs coming
and going which makes them VERY happy!), picnic shelters and……. A SPRAY
PARK!!!! The spray park opens Memorial Day weekend and can get busy, but even
with lots of people it’s still fun. They
also have a small farmers market there every Friday from 3pm-7pm. Parking is
limited. They have added more parking, but I still find it a struggle to find
spots when it’s really busy.
On Thursday nights during the summer they have movie nights!
We haven’t been because it starts at 7 pm and our little ones are usually
getting ready for bed around that time. The field is huge so I don’t think
finding a seat would be impossible but it is on grass so bring your own
blankets or low back lawn chairs. Every time we go we end up spending a
long time there because there is so much to do, especially when the spray park
is open. It’s easy to find, clean and in a nice community.
